Executive Data Science - Computer Science/IT

Our statistical research is at the forefront of an industry moving at the speed of light. In this role on the Digital Product team, your work on innovative methodologies and data optimization will directly impact on our business and our clients.   
 
A Data Science Associate is responsible for prompt delivery of statistical support aligned with global / regional statistical and technical standards to internal associates. 

What You Will Do

  • Provide universe updates at internals consistent with NielsenIQ guidelines and standards.  
  • Validate universe updates based on independent data sources.  
  • Provide data collection department with shop / household selection and replacement list.  
  • Liaise with data collection management to ensure that actual useable sample per period is in compliance with NielsenIQ standards.  
  • Ensure Quality Control algorithms for identifying and correcting raw and projected data are operating within NielsenIQ guidelines.  
  • Conduct regular coverage studies of client data to ensure information trends are accurate.  
  • Work with supervisor on analysis and design of customized experiments for clients.  
  • Conduct data validation studies upon request and provide written feedback within the pre agreed timeframe.  
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date knowledge on research techniques and applications.  
  • Perform quality checks on all reports for alignment to request, accuracy and correctness.  
  • Ensure standard operating procedures within your area of responsibility are observed.  
  • Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology or Operations Research.   
  • Fresh Graduate or 1 to 2 years background in statistics and data analysis.   
  • Familiar/ experience with programming languages such as Python/R and knowledgeable with databases like SQL & data processing engine.   
  • Entry level knowledge of statistical applications and systems.   
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical thinking and demonstrated experience working in a team  
  • Ability to navigate digital/ technology measurement and solve complex problems on your own 

Additional Information - Remote hybrid-based role, must be physically located within Philippines and candidate must be a Country/Region Resident.
