Global Failure Analysis (GFA) team interns are expected to work with our engineers, specialists, technicians and operators and contribute to their respective assignments and projects.  
 
Our interns will be working on one or more areas of the failure analysis process, be it operating FA equipment, handling failure analysis or laboratory service requests, or publishing reports summarizing the analysis results.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct analysis on failing samples from internal and external customers. Assure compliance to the defined targets. 
  • Ensure effective use of failure analysis tools to optimize up-time and advancement of use. 
  • Adhere to processes critical in performing failure analysis. 
  • Keep up to date with the latest tools, failure mechanisms and practices in the semiconductor failure analysis field. 
  • Publish failure analysis or laboratory service reports summarizing the results of the analysis. 
  • Perform laboratory roles and responsibilities assigned by management or team leader. 
  • Follow good and safe laboratory practices and disciplines.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • BS in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, and Applied Physics. 
  • Knowledgeable in data analysis and reporting. 
  • Good scholastic record with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn.
