Associate Engineer - Project Services - Fresh Graduates

The Programme

The new SEAM organization integrates Safety, Environment & Asset Management activities, with a broad geographical footprint, that will support Shell’s business & assets around the world. 
 
The vision of SEAM is to provide capability across the spectrum of Safety, Environment and Asset Management with:

  • Shaping the future ways of working through introducing to the business new technology and news way of working, including e.g. digital, SBO, and real-time, data-driven, end-to-end optimization and risk management, but also global programmes like Human Performance Based Safety Philosophy. 
  • Providing performance feedback driving disciplined execution to deliver reliable, predictable results 
  • Helping the businesses build their improvement plans and provide support to execute them 
  • Sustaining performance through strong core capabilities (internal, including SBO & contingent) through building expertise and a company-wide consistent approach.

This role of Associate Engineer-Project Services is to support the assigned Projects Portfolio in TRACK Admin scope including improving contractor productivity and controlling cost through effective administration of the TRACK application.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the Track master data and management of contract vendors, seeking cost control, transparency, and contract compliance. 
  • The administrator must have high standards of accuracy to ensure right & timely payment of Shell contractors. 
  • Responsible for managing time tracking for Internal Craft resources & Team leads. 
  • Interface with vendor timekeepers regularly & able to provide direction and coach them on site rules and their contract terms and conditions. 
  • Interface with Maintenance, Construction, Projects, Production, Facilities, CP, AP, Security, planners, schedulers, and site management to coordinate technical assurance and gain awareness of site changes. 
  • Responsible for preparing management reports & investigating the same to bring valuable insights for business decisions. 
  • Troubleshoot errors related to time/cost rejections & coordinate with to resolve the same. 
  • Assist Shell Engineers (Approvers) to authorize the accepted vendor time. 
  • Perform periodical audits to ensure proper data maintenance in TRACK system. 
  • Assist/Influence stakeholders to perform their TRACK actions on time with quality. 
  • Provide extended support to manage increased volume during special events such as turnarounds, major maintenance, start-ups and shut down. 
  • Onboard new contractors into TRACK in coordination with business CP team. 
  • Responsible for managing Vendor requests via Common Request Tool (CRT) / functional mailbox. 
  • Participate and comply with all safety programs. 
  • Be an ambassador for ‘First Time Right’ culture & drive the same for stakeholders. 
  • Identify & drive continuous improvement initiatives within TRACK process in partnership with business. 
  • Ensure Knowledge management by preparing & maintaining Process Job aids. 
  • Responsible for training backup resources and performing quality checks. 
  • Responsible for maintaining & reporting operational KPI. 
  • The Daily Track Admin support will include performing calc net calculations, Clearing Exceptions, Performing In/Out Corrections (including moving scans) when needed, Processing Overrides, Resource assignments, assigning new skills, pay formula, per diem, assigning work schedules, Voiding timesheets & Run various Track reports. 
  • Intermediate Track Admin Support will include Upload Labor Allocation Imports/Holiday Allocation Imports,
  • Troubleshooting Vendor Allocation errors, PO/WO issues in GSAP, and Vendor Acceptance issues, Running GSAP
  • Rejection reports & troubleshooting the rejections from report, Perform Vendor Labor Allocation Status Audits etc., 
  • Craft Time Entry Track Admin Support responsibilities will include Internal Craft Straight Time Entry / Team Lead Timesheets / Straight Time Import, Pull Schedule Pro Overtime Report for Craft OT entry, Schedule Pro Template and upload to Track, Pull Schedule Pro Leaves report & Ensure Shell employees are marked for cost posting in GSAP (new hires).

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Your engineering discipline is valuable to our team’s success (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation, Civil, Chemical, Petroleum, Computer Science). 
  • Ability to engage and effectively communicate at all levels inside and outside Shell and within different cultural settings. 
  • Strong analytical skills with careful attention to detail is a must. 
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Tools especially in Excel.  
  • Self-driven, delivery focused, tenacious, “can-do” attitude. 
  • Background in Oil and Gas maintenance and operations is an advantage. 
  • Knowledge of RtP, SAP-WO/PO, Power-BI is an advantage. 
  • Strong aptitude for Learner Mindset. 
  • Careful attention to detail is necessary. 
  • Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to challenge and ability to build internal and external relationships based on trust and to integrate across multiple functions. 
  • Continuous Improvement and Knowledge of Lean CI methodology is an added value.
