The Team: 

The Commercial Data team supports S&P Global Commodity Insights team members in our Commercial organization to ensure the highest quality data and risk management systems are in place to support downstream workflows, including marketing campaigns, business intelligence reporting, contract support, fulfillment, among others.  
 
We work to drive operational efficiency using our CRM tools and applications for all business stakeholders by working within the agile framework to prioritize, plan and oversee the delivery of strategic initiatives on commercial systems – Salesforce, Marketo, etc.  
 
The team works with employees around the globe and at all levels in the business, providing a unique opportunity to get exposure to all areas of the business.  We are a growing team with senior associates that can provide on-the-job training and mentoring on a going forward basis, as well as opportunities to partner with broader Commercial, divisional and even enterprise-wide projects. 
 
The Impact:  
 
The Commercial Data team drives operational efficiency by supporting data quality, data management and data migration initiatives across Salesforce, Marketo and other commercial systems.  
 
We also provide communications and overview on data quality enhancements in partnership with product owners and business experts, focusing on implementing efficient data governance and robust data privacy processes.

As a Commercial Systems Associate, you will:

• Support our Commercial teams around the globe in their daily workflows and ensure the Commercial data in Salesforce and other connected applications (such as Marketo, Cvent, etc.) meet the needs of the business. 
• Handle questions/requests related to Salesforce and connected applications and related processes. 
• Act as Tier 1 support for Salesforce cases, resolving data-related issues and queries and escalating to correct teams if needed. 
• Tenaciously work through issue identification, resolution, documentation, and communication. 
• Validate data completeness & accuracy, identification & elimination of duplicate records in commercial systems data. 
• Perform regular data uploads/exercises and data reconstruction in commercial systems. 
• Collaborate with different teams to ensure accounts are updated with accurate privacy setting(s) such as but not limited to sanctioned accounts. 
• Ensure our help documentation and applications are up to date and accurate. 
• Participate in Agile projects to improve the overall Commercial experience and be able to conduct User Acceptance Testing with a high level of scrutiny. 
• Work with business users in conducting UAT and defect resolution. 
• Champion SFDC best practices throughout the organization. 
• Ideal candidates will have an undergraduate degree, or certification in a related field, and possess strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive skills. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required along with excellent MS Office skills. 
• The candidate should possess strong organization, prioritization, problem identification, and problem-solving skills to manage internal workflows and client communication. 
• Support key strategic Commercial initiatives by resolving cases related to revenue-impacting deals, integration efforts, new go-to-market strategies, whitespace research, compliance and audit exercises, among others.   
• Support month end Finance efforts, which may entail changing schedules as needed to support business needs.

Required Skills and Abilities

• An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or any related field. 
• Preferably with 1-5 years of experience in the client support function.  
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. 
• Must possess strong quantitative, analytical and interpretive skills.  
• Business Analysis experience and ability to diagnose problems, RCA is a plus. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required along with excellent MS Office skills. 
• The candidate should possess strong organization, prioritization, problem identification, and problem-solving skills to manage internal workflows and client communication. 
• Ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience in Salesforce (Required). 
• Experience in SQL and Alteryx is a plus. 
• Certification in the Salesforce will be an advantage. 
• Interest and/or exposure to operational excellence (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma) and AI applications
